ACTRESSES:  KEIRA KNIGHTLEY

 

British actress, Keira Knightley, played Sabé, the decoy queen, in The Phantom Menace. She is the daughter of actor Will Knightley and actress/author Sharman MacDonald.

Keira has done both television and film work. She has worked in British, French, German, and American productions. The 2002 film Bend it Like Beckham put her on the map, but the first film in the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy in 2003 brought her superstar status. Keira received her first Academy Award nominatation for her portayl of Elizabeth Bennet in a 2005 adaptation of Pride & Prejudice. More recently, Keira received critical acclaim for her starring role in Atonement.
