The Episode 2 Gallery - Goodbye Scene


In this scene from Attack of the Clones, Senator Padmé Amidala is reluctantly leaving Coruscant for the safety of Naboo, on the insistance of Chancellor Palpatine.   Anakin Skywalker has been assigned to accompany and protect her.   The two of them are dressed to look like refugees and are flying incognito, while Dormé and Captain Typho remain behind to keep up the appearance of Amidala's presence as long as they can.   As the group parts ways, goodbyes are exchanged.   Anakin gets a short lecture and a stern warning from Obi-Wan, while Dormé and Padmé share a sisterly hug and the faithful handmaiden worries over the Senator.   After a final farewell, Anakin and Padmé head for their transport.
