Piett,

I have two things for you to check, if you don't mind.

1. During the "This one's a decoy!" scene, could you please check to see if Rab has a stand-in? She looks shorter, and maybe Asian, but I would like another opinion.

2. Where are our ladies during Qui-Gon's funeral? After that image was posted, I looked for them against the far wall where the rest of the main characters are. ܥe# >F_C,l,l 5(T5 MS Sans Serif Symbol0Courier NewFAN POLL: Which handmadien name from Episode One do you like the best? - Jedi Council

just rescuing the thread from <gasp> page three.

Piett I really can't think of anything specific beyond looking for any brief glimpses of the elusive HM Yan.

So...how does one go about making an official fan club really official? just wondering.

There's been an official casting release! From my pants! Anna Paquin (The Piano, Hurly Burly) is to be a Handmaiden in EpII!

Well, I think she'd be fantastic. She has the PERFECT features to slide into the entourage!

Red One: Friday Wilson was in two other movies, Life 101(1995) and Sorungeth soru(1967). You can check out her profile at the Internet Movie Database at http://us.imdb.com/Name?Wilson,+Liz+(I)

I didn't had time to post pictures yesterday, so here they are:

Eirta and Rab

Rab, Padm and Sab

Hey, experts on HMology I need your opinion:

Does she remind you of anyone?

Her name is Candice Orwell...could she be the Candice Orwell.

DOH!!!DOH!!!DOH!!!

I had found Storm Modelling Agency's 'About' page way back two months ago when I searched for Candice, but I never realized an 'About' connected to a 'home' page. Ar! Garn! Nar! It's a UK agency and apparently mostly fronts amateurs. As for the Candice pictured about, Hot Da..! ..dog. Once again it is revealed that any Portman candywagon fanboy should be slapped up side the head - there are just Too Many beautiful women out there. (..And particularly beautiful when they're Mad, as Candice appears to be!) Could somebody horizontally invert one of the images to get the same profile?

Still, Rab she is not..

Hey Happy, there was also Hap. She was jumping up and down with Hopp at the end celebration, in the lower far-right corner, off-screen.

first off sorry about the double post.
I've got a long boring story about all my mishaps posting that pic...

anyway, I really don't know it it is her or not...I can't tell by the comparisons. (BTW Thanks for putting the comparisons up!)

I tried to find out more information about the model but to no avail. The thing is- aren't most models tall? isn't Yan pretty short? Does this rule this Candice out? You really can't tell her height by the photo.

Even if it's not her it's interesting that they have the same names.

Ah!!! Could that be her? When I posted last month about the widescreen cards, I mentioned you could see Yane in a few of them. Most of them aren't close-ups, but you can make out the bottom of her face. The black and white photo does resemble the cards I have, but it could be wishful thinking on my part. What I wouldn't give for a scanner.

This Candice doesn't resemble the Yane in the comparison photos, but I think she does on the cards, unless I'm comparing her to Sache. Wouldn't it be funny if the Visual Dictionary switched the names of Rabe and Eirtae plus Yane and Sache? I still think there's handmaiden mindgames going on.

Hey, Red. All that was was that there was Another Candic Wilson back in the day.

Our HM has only been in one other movie, I think in 1995. You'd have to check the Internet Movie Database.

DOH! I forget which it is now, Friday Wilson or Candice Orwell! You gotta check both, I guess.

Ah, there is always more in which to delve in HMology!!

I think that's indeed our Yan -- Candice Orwell -- in those photos above. I must study them closer (heh heh) to see if indeed that's her in the "Palpatine lands on Naboo at the end of the movie" scene . . .
. . . and I think the Vis. Dict. labelled her & Sach correctly. (The proof is in the chins, I think)...

On Ms. Wilson: perhaps she was an infant in that 1967 flick? Thus maybe she was 30 when TPM was filmed? (This seems unusual, for consistency's sake amongst the characterizations of the Handmaidens -- i.e., they are all supposed to be around Amidala's age).

I'm off to see (guiltily indulge in?) TPM again tonite! I have my orders per Giantano and Yan of Naboo above.

Later, that same evening: relaxing in his study at the R.HM. Society Hall, after his ninth sojourn of observing the HM's in their natural habitat --

Ahem. I offer the following fresh profound insights into this field of HMology, despite the film being poorly focused, specked with projector dust, its right edge fallen off the screen which was taped up in several places, the sound in mono, but hey, want do you want for $2.50:

1. Sab rules. Period. May the Sith spit on whoever did not deem KK a higher billing in the credits.

2. Eirta's the tallest HM! Seeing them all in motion together (ahhh) made this obvious.

3. Considering the above pic of Candice, I think that is indeed her at the end seen as Palpatine talks to Amidala in Theed plaza. Kiera Knightley and Christina Da Silva definitely are there, so perhaps it was not a necessary time for stand-ins.

4. Giantano -- per your request: 1) I think that both Rab and Eirta are represented by stand-ins in the Sab-surprises-the-Viceroy scene. Yep; Rab is suddenly way too short. 2) HM's attend Qui-Gon's funeral; their placement is as the Sach pic suggests. The Jedi are all in the first row; hooded, robed figures against the wall -- deductively, our HMs -- are glimpsed very briefly at the start of the inside scene.

5. Yan d'Naboo -- besides the above scene re: your namesake, I noticed that she and Sach do get face time (however somewhat unfocused, in the background) during the "decision to leave Naboo" scene between Sab & Padm -- the shot is actually wider than the still pix we've seen from it; they can be seen behind Padm.

Then the film broke just before the last 15 seconds of the film wherein you can see Sab behind Obi-Wan. The projectionist/usher/ticket-booth guy fixed it as we were leaving; so yippeee, we stayed all the way thru the credits. (Possibly) Interesting note: "stand-ins" are listed in the credits -- but only for the main players, plus two male "utility" stand-ins.

That is all for now. Time to retire for the evening.

**Piett**

That theater is just too close to home . . . and priced so low . . .

I tried to find a picture to post but all I could find were a couple that didn't show anyones face. In one most of Sab was cut out of the pic and in the other Rab was turned away so her face wasn't visible.

I might come back and edit them into this post just to show how slim the pickings are now when it comes to HM pics. We've seemed to have already posted all the good ones.
